2 dead after motorcycle accident

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Two people were killed after a motorcycle accident in Helena on Sunday.

According to Helena police, there was a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle on Highway 95 near Riva Ridge Road.

Authorities say the two riders on the motorcycle were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

After being closed for an extended period, authorities say Highway 95 has reopened.

The Shelby County Traffic Homicide Tash Force is investigating the crash.
