Major vehicle collision on Highway 154 causes road closures and three injuries

A vehicle collision involving two sedans occurred Saturday evening on Highway 154 near Paradise Road, leading to significant injuries and road closures in both directions.

According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the crash, reported around 8:06 p.m., had a major impact. Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene, where they discovered that both vehicles required extrication to free the occupants.

The intense crash involved a total of three patients: an adult woman and two adult men. The adult female suffered serious injuries and was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for emergency medical attention. The adult males suffered moderate and minor injuries respectively and were transported to the same hospital by ground ambulance.

The extrication process was complex and highlighted the serious nature of the collision and the skill and dedication of first responders to save lives.

As a result of the crash, Highway 154 was closed in both directions near Paradise Road for emergency services.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department, along with local police, is conducting an investigation to understand the circumstances leading to the accident.
