‘Shocked by arrogance’: Raymond’s Gautam Singhania slams Lamborghini’s leadership after its new Revuelto failures

Gautam Singhania, the chairman and director of Raymond Ltd., has accused Lamborghini of misplaced leadership in India and Asia. His ordeal started when he test drove his new Lamborghini Revuelto in Mumbai. Just 15 days after the vehicle was received, there was a total power outage on the transport link, a popular road in the city.

He expressed his displeasure at the situation in a message, saying he couldn’t believe such an expensive luxury car could have this problem. “I took the new Lamborghini Revuelto for a test drive and ended up stranded… Are there any concerns about reliability? This is the third time I have heard of problems within 15 days of delivery,” he said.

He then posted the “evidence that the brand new Revuelto had to be towed due to a total electrical failure,” asking, “Are these cars reliable?”

Following this, Singhania posted on X about his grievances, tagging Lamborghini’s India head Sharad Agarwal and Asia head Francesco Scardaoni. He complained that none of them had offered to contact him to address his grievances or to ask how he was doing. “I am shocked by the arrogance,” he said, adding that while he expected a luxury and high-performing brand, there was a lack of responsibility.
