Racine shoots Sunday, 24-year-old injured; interested party identified

One person was injured in a shooting in Racine early Sunday morning, October 27.

According to the Racine Police Department, at approximately 3:11 a.m., officers responded to the area of ​​Main and Wolff for a report of a man with a gun.

When officers arrived, they found a 24-year-old man who had been shot.

He was taken to a local hospital and then airlifted to Milwaukee. He is currently in critical condition.

Police learned the victim was involved in a verbal and alleged physical altercation with multiple people at the time of the incident.

Investigators spoke with several witnesses and with a 21-year-old man considered a person of interest.

Charges in this case are under review by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office.
