Motorcyclist injured in police chase on Harrogate Road

The motorcyclist and a passenger were injured when the bike hit a car in Bradford

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after crashing into a car during a police chase.

West Yorkshire Police said the motorcycle crashed with a red Vauxhall Corsa in Harrogate Road, Bradford, at about 1:19 GMT.

Police said the motorcycle was followed after previously failing to stop for officers.

A second man, who was also on the motorcycle, was seriously injured in the collision. No other injuries were reported.

A number of road closures have been put in place while the crash is investigated.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has more information about what happened is asked to contact police.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct has been notified, the force said.
