If anyone wants to bring bad style to the red carpet, that’s it Cynthia Erivo.

The Bad star, 37, has been all over the world (and by that we mean, from the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris to the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles) in tribute to the iconic Elphaba, who she plays in the upcoming film movie musical of Ariana Grande (the film, directed by Jon Chu, hits theaters on November 22).

And she hasn’t put an end to her fashion Bad-inspired streak yet.

On October 28, the award-winning actress and singer stepped out in New York City to host the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards, where she turned heads with a dramatic look.

Erivo wore a Zac Posen-designed black hooded dress with a mermaid silhouette, a plunging neckline and long sleeves. She dressed up with a gold necklace with just a hint of green (obviously), and statement earrings.

The star of her look, however, was her incredibly long nails, intricately decorated as the focal point of her outfit.

Although tonight marks Erivo’s first time hosting the ceremony, presented by the Council of Fashion Designers of America and Amazon Fashion, where she has attended in recent years.

In 2023, she wore a tuxedo dress with a bow tie, and in 2018, she rocked a one-sleeve tweed mini dress with a button-up shirt underneath.
