Abnormally warm temperatures at the start of your week

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) – Even though today is Monday, the weather is beautiful. Temperatures reached the mid 70s with mostly sunny skies.

DISCUSSION:

With high pressure in the region, we saw sunny skies and great temperatures lasting into tomorrow. This dry and mostly sunny weather will continue until Halloween, when a cold front will move through our area.

Starting tomorrow, temperatures will be in the low 70s, with overnight lows in the low 50s. The incoming cold front will also break October’s dry spell, bringing rain that will begin on Halloween afternoon and continue through Friday morning.

LOOKING AHEAD:

After the front leaves our area, high temperatures will drop into the upper 60s before warming back up to the 70s on Saturday. After the rain has passed, the rain will also decrease, but a new wave of rain will start on Monday.
