A solo weekend in Rome and Vatican City

As I rode the tram to Rome, I felt a sense of joy. Sitting among stylish Italians, I was on my way to see the city for the first time. The idea for the trip came to me after reading a article about solo travel. I’ve always wanted to go to Rome, so I decided it was time to seize the day.

Upon arriving at CitizenM, a boutique hotel on the edge of the city’s historic Jewish quarter, I was met by the beautiful hand-painted mural by Italian artist UNO. After a hassle-free check-in, I headed to my room, which was refreshingly air-conditioned and had views over the rooftops.
