Melania Trump says she has become ‘very selective’ since assassination attempts

Former first lady Melania Trump thus the two attempts on the life of her husband’s former president Donald Trump have influenced how they campaigns for him.

With a week to go until the elections, Melania Trump appeared Fox and friends Tuesday to explain how she has seen how “dangerous” the campaign has become since 2016. As a Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump was shot in the ear at a rally in Pennsylvania and stalked by another armed man while golfing in Florida.

“It’s different. It’s much more dangerous, and I’m very vigilant and very selective where I go and what I do because you never know,” she said. “It’s very dangerous there.”

Melania Trump has made rare campaign appearances together with her first fundraiser for her husband’s 2024 campaign in April this year. It was organized by the GOP LGBT group Log Cabin Republicans. At that point, the former president had already been campaigning for re-election for almost a year and a half.

Most recently, Melania Trump appeared with her husband at Madison Square Garden on Sunday and said she was there because she loves the “incredible place” that is New York City. She acknowledged that when her husband is away on the campaign trail and she stays behind, she can never predict what kind of phone call she will get or “what might happen in life.”

“Life is fragile and we should enjoy it every day,” she said.
