See Ariana Grande Fix Cynthia Erivo’s Dress On The Red Carpet As The ‘Evil’ Costars Continue Method Dressing

Ariana Grande And Cynthia Erivo shared a sweet moment during their final red carpet appearance.

The actresses, who play Glinda and Elphaba respectively, will appear in the upcoming film Bad film, walked the red carpet of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City WJ. Magazine‘s2024 Innovator Awards on Tuesday, October 29.

Grande, 31, attended the event in a white floral embroidered dress dress by Vivienne Westwood. Erivo, 37, walked the carpet in a chic gray-green look from the Erdem ready-to-wear collection spring 2025.

In a sweet moment captured by PEOPLE, Grande helped repair the panels of Erivo’s design before the two smiled from ear to ear as they posed for photos. They later told PEOPLE that they had “changed for the better” because they knew each other.

Grande and Erivo dressed up Bad style over the past year in anticipation of the release of the upcoming film adaptation.

Grande opted for a little twist on her signature Glinda fashion at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Gala on Oct. 19 in a custom Balmain couture dress from 1963. The strapless white ball gown had black polka dots and a fitted black waistband.

The full skirt and bow detail on the chest of the dress added a fairytale flair. The ball gown also had silver fabric at the hem and top of the skirt.

The silhouette of her dress almost matched Erivo’s first look of the evening: a custom green strapless beaded dress from Louis Vuitton. Erivo’s dress had a bubble hem, while Grande’s hem was straight.

Grande filmed one Get ready with me video for the Academy Museum gala in which she did so another of her flawless impressionsthis time from influencer Nara Smith.

“And when I got home from the Academy Gala, I made Capri Sun from scratch for my kids and zed some lemons,” she joked, imitating the TikToker. low-octave viral monologues about cooking.

The Grammy winner also revealed in the video that her red carpet dress was a recreation of one of her favorite outfits from the Balmain archive.

Grande shared how her makeup artist Michael Anthony and hairstylist Alyx Liu got her ready for the gala, using her brand’s Rem beauty products. She used the Metallic Matte Lipstick from Galinda makeup set.

Grande also stepped out in a coordinated look with Erivo during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games. The pair graced the red carpet at the Eiffel Tower hand in hand in a look inspired by their film.

Grande opted for a custom baby pink midi-length duchess silk satin dress. The dress has a bouncy skirt and a dropped waist, accentuated by a bow detail. The “yes, and?” singer also had a matching bow in her hair and white silk gloves. She completed the look with pink pointed toe heels. The entire ensemble was by Thom Browne.

Erivo wore a similar style with unique details to mimic her character. Her emerald green strapless dress featured a full, structured skirt and a sweetheart neckline.

She dressed up with a wide-brimmed green hat, long green nails and pointy heels like Grande’s.
