CCTV appeal to identify man in rape investigation

Detectives investigating a serious sexual assault are asking for the public’s help.

They believe the man pictured has information that could assist our investigation into the Bristol incident.

He is described as white, between 25 and 30 years old, with a medium build. He is depicted wearing a white sweater, a black waistcoat and a white baseball cap.

On Sunday, March 24, sometime between 2am and 3.30am, the victim was raped in Colston Parade, near Redcliff Hill.

Investigating Officer, DC Ewan Brand, said: “I must commend the courage of the victim in coming forward after this incident. I do not underestimate the strength and courage this must have taken.

“In our investigations we are always aware of the impact that events like this can have on the victim. We have carried out a number of investigations in recent months, such as examining forensic evidence, and have now reached a stage where we can issue this appeal.

“Do you recognize this man? We believe he has information that could support our investigation.”
