The United States Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest of three men responsible for several mail theft incidents around Houston.

The men were seen on an apartment complex’s surveillance camera this month, allegedly using a key to access mailboxes and stuffing piles of mail into bags.

They allegedly stole mail from the Montage at Cinco Ranch Apartments in Katy on October 17, returning just four days later to loot the mailboxes again. according to the inspection service. The men are responsible for other mail theft incidents around Fort Bend County and Houston.

A postal inspector with the USPS Houston Division told KHOU that the men were likely looking for checks, which are often stolen and used to open fraudulent bank accounts.

Anyone with information about the mail theft incident is encouraged to contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 877-876-2455. According to the inspection service, all information will be treated as strictly confidential.
