Construction worker seriously injured after being hit by water truck in Peoria

PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily) — A construction worker is in the hospital Wednesday evening after he was hit by a water truck driver in Peoria.

It happened near 135th Avenue and Ridgeline Roadabout a mile north of Jomax Road.

The police do not want to say what caused the accident.

The employee has serious injuries.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.

An investigation is underway.
