Make an effort to find an injured teenage cyclist after an accident in Scarborough

Police fear a teenage cyclist involved in a collision with a car has been injured and officers have appealed for help finding him.

The boy was riding an e-bike when he collided with a red Corsa on Seamer Road in Scarborough, near the Stoneacre garage, at around 1pm GMT on Wednesday, North Yorkshire Police said.

Officers said the crash was “minor” but they were concerned the boy, believed to be 15 years old, may need treatment for his injuries.

The police say they are ‘concerned about the welfare of the cyclist’ and are calling on any witnesses to come forward.
