Pataskala man killed in motorcycle crash on Columbus Road, Silver Street, near Granville

A motorcyclist has died in a crash near Granville, the Licking County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.

Officers found Jeffrey Hurl, 60, of Pataskala, dead at the scene after he responded to a report of a crash around 1 p.m. at Columbus Road and Silver Street, the sheriff’s office said.

Hurl was wearing a helmet while riding his motorcycle, and the sheriff’s office said a box truck was also involved in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
