Man seriously injured in shooting at East Wichita apartments

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A 44-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot at an apartment complex in east Wichita.

Wichita police confirmed the shooting happened in the 9200 block of East Harry St. around 9:30 p.m.

WPD said the man drove himself to the hospital after being shot in the upper body and is currently undergoing surgery.

WPD said they know who the suspect is, but the person is still on the run.
