Billionaire Mark Cuban Schools Donald Trump, UFC’s Dana White on Inflation, Tariffs

Billionaire NBA owner Mark Cuban is supporting Vice President Kamala Harris in this month’s presidential election former president and Republican candidate Donald Trumpand his support for the Democrat is rolling in.

Cuban has been busy setting the record straight Trump – his policies and how they have affected the real working class.

The masterclass continued Wednesday when Cuban noted the “root” of inflation in the United States, which currently stands at 2.4%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

“You have to look at the root of inflation,” Cuban told the newspaper News Town Hall of the Nation panel, which also included an ESPN expert Stephen A. Smith. “I’ll tell you exactly when the very first core of inflation was identified, and that was in April 2020. It was right in the early days of the pandemic. Gas prices were $1.87 (per gallon). The oil companies went to Donald Trump and said, “We’re going to get crushed with a $1.87 gas price. Please go to Saudi Arabia and your friend MBS (Mohammed bin Salman), please go to Russia and your friend Vladimir Putin, and ask them to cut production.” So he had to make a choice. Is he helping his minions at the oil companies or helping keep gas prices low?

“You already know what he did. … He went to MBS and Putin and said, ‘Please reduce production.’ That was the day inflation started. And you can track minute by minute, hour by hour, month by month, year by year, quarter by quarter, that as long as that agreement was in effect, until 2022, gas prices continued to rise. From the moment the agreement was made and production changed, gas prices started to fall and inflation started to drop. So you can take all you want and blame the Biden administration, but it started with Donald Trump.”

Cuban also controlled the CEO and president of the UFC Dana Whitewho didn’t know what he was getting into when he agreed to debate the Mavericks’ minority ownership before a national audience.

White, who introduced Trump at the Republican National Convention and spoke at Trump’s infamous rally at Madison Square Gardenwas left stunned after she claimed Harris wouldn’t have been the Democratic nominee if she hadn’t been “slided in,” and that she and President Joe Biden had accomplished nothing in four years.

“Dana, I love you, but you are so wrong,” Cuban said. “Trump inflation was 25% higher than Obama. He decided to take no action and allow 100,000 people to continue dying in Yemen. Talk to him about his rates. … He had four years to make the tariffs work for China. China kicked him (expletive) and took him to court because he didn’t know how tariffs work and it hurts the economy.

“The economy was doing well and was so affected by rates that his Federal Reserve appointee, Jerome Powell, had to cut rates three times. And then we come to the real point of reckoning: the pandemic. And what does he do? He says if we don’t test people, the virus hasn’t really started. He withholds the means, except for Vladimir Putin, to prevent people from getting healthy. That’s not an experienced president, Dana. He didn’t do anything. What he got, he inherited.”

Many believe Cuban is positioning himself to run as an independent candidate in 2028. But in the meantime, he appears to be doing what he can to present facts and preserve democracy.
