How Dorit Kemsley’s health journey led to a new business move

Come on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14 premiere, Dorit Kemsley talks about how a change in her health led to a major career move.

The diamond holder, who is currently estranged from her husband Paul “PK” Kemsleybrought her Instagram feed on October 29 to reveal that PTSD (which she has been dealing with since her home invasion in 2021) put her in perimenopause.

“Women’s health, especially in midlife, deserves more attention,” the 48-year-old wrote in the caption of her post. “My perimenopausal journey started earlier than expected because of my PTSD and I had no idea what was happening to my body. I was shocked to discover how little I knew about perimenopause and menopause and what happens when our hormones are out of balance.”

As a result, Dorit decided to join the supplement company The Better Menopause as a “shareholder and VP of their advisory board in the US.”

“I look forward to working closely with them and assisting in their mission to help other women find comfort, support and strength at this stage of their lives,” Dorit continued in her caption, noting that she “feels feels (himself) again’. after taking the ‘game changer’ supplement.

Dorit Kemsley opens up about her battle with PTSD

The mother of two shared more details about how deeply the home invasion of 2021 and the subsequent robbery affected her in season 13, episode 2 of RHOBH.

“Last Christmas was about fourteen months after the home invasion, and I went to the bank and withdrew $10,000 so I could have some money for Christmas gifts. I had my purse in the shopping cart,” Dorit said in an interview on the episode. “When I got to the checkout I realized my handbag was gone. The police came downstairs and checked the video surveillance. They discovered I was being followed by three men.”

The incident threw Dorit “right back into the grips of PTSD,” and it affected her marriage.

‘I’ve always been the girl being fought against. That’s who I am. That’s who PK knows,” Dorit continued. “I definitely underestimated how much of a setback this last incident had for me.”

Dorit’s PTSD put a strain on her marriage to PKAnd the couple eventually announced their separation in May 2024.

The couple’s marital problems will be featured in season 14 of the series RHOBHwhich premieres Tuesday, November 19 at 8/7c on Bravo. Stream episodes the next day on Peacock.
