Your first warning of a warmer weekend followed by rain on Election Day

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The week is ending dry, but clouds are still hanging over the area and will remain that way as the weekend begins. A southerly flow on Sunday will push much warmer air and moisture from the Gulf into the Mid-South, followed by a cold front moving through Tuesday, bringing another round of rain and thunderstorms. Also, don’t forget to drop back an hour before bed on Saturday evening, as we return to Central Standard Time on Sunday.

THIS EVENING: Partly cloudy with a chance of patchy fog late at night, a light northeast wind and overnight low temperatures in the mid 50s.

SATURDAY: Partly cloudy with a slight chance of a stray shower, an easterly wind 5 to 10 MPH and afternoon highs in the low to mid 70s.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy with a light easterly wind and overnight lows in the mid 60s.

SUNDAY: Partly cloudy with a breezy southeast wind 10 to 15 MPH and afternoon highs in the lower 80s.

NEXT WEEK: Monday will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers, highs in the low 80s and overnight lows in the low 60s. Tuesday will be cloudy with rain and thunderstorms, along with high temperatures in the mid-70s and overnight lows in the upper 50s. Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers, highs in the lower 70s and overnight lows in the upper 50s. Thursday will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers, along with high temperatures in the low 70s and overnight lows in the low 50s. Friday will be partly cloudy with afternoon highs in the low 60s.
