Edmonton police are investigating the shooting near Dr. Donald Massey School

Police are seeking information after a shooting on Halloween left a bullet lodged in the exterior wall of an Edmonton school.

Officers were called to 162 Avenue and 55 Street at 9:53 p.m

Investigators on the scene found the bullet in the wall of the Dr. Donald Massey School.

Police believe the shooting occurred at the intersection near the northwest portion of the school’s parking lot.

No injuries have been reported.

“We are currently continuing to investigate whether the shooting was random or targeted,” said Acting Staff Sgt. Marc Goudreau said in a Friday news release. “Yet a shooting in a public space, especially near a school, is a reminder of the dangers faced by bystanders.”
