Murderous attack on two following dispute over purchasing cannabis

Two men suffered serious injuries after being attacked by more than six men late Thursday night over an alleged dispute over purchasing Ganja (Cannabis); One of the men is said to be in critical condition, while the other is stable.

Sensation prevailed in Talaiya area at 3 am on Thursday evening after two friends were attacked by six miscreants.

The condition of one youth injured in the attack is very critical. The other has serious injuries to his face and neck, but is stable. Both have been admitted to hospital for treatment. After receiving information from the hospital, the police registered a case against the miscreants.

SI S Kakodiya said that two friends named Parvez alias Salman Khan and Aamir Pasha live in Ashoka Garden. Both had come to Itwara around 3am to smoke cigarettes. They were standing behind the police post when Som Kuchbandiya and Tilak who were present there asked them why they were standing there. Both said they were just standing there, after which Som and Tilak started arguing with them. The matter escalated into a scuffle.

The scuffle turned violent when the suspect attacked both victims with sharp weapons. Their other friends Kunal and Shiva Kuchbandiya along with others also attacked both the youths with weapons. Parvez and Aamir were seriously injured in this attack. Aamir’s condition remains critical. He has serious wounds to his head, abdomen, chest and hand. He is being treated at a private hospital in Malipura.

A police officer from Talaiya police station said people from Kuchbandiya community work behind the police post to sell ganja. Both young people had come late at night with the intention of buying cannabis. Som Kuchbandiya took money from them for ganja but did not give ganja. A dispute arose over this issue. Later, Som and his associates attacked armed with weapons.

It has come to light that Tilak from the other party was also injured in the hand with a sharp weapon during the dispute. The police say that this matter is being investigated. After the investigation, a decision will be made on further action. An FIR is currently being registered based on Parvez’s complaint.

Accused Tilak in police custody, it is alleged that he was also stabbed on the hand during the dispute. The suspects are Aamir and Parvez.

The main accused Shiva’s mother, Sheela, said that both youths came behind the Itwara police chowki at midnight to buy ganja. Shiva and his companions demanded ganja. When they did not give, a package was forcibly taken away, an argument broke out about it, and a fight broke out between the two parties. A youth named Aamir was seriously injured in this attack.

Parvez said he tried to intervene during the dispute, but when he was attacked with a sharp weapon near his ear, he escaped to find shelter to save his life. Aamir entered a nearby house to save his life. From there, the police were called and Aamir was handed over to the police.

The police took him to the hospital. Aamir’s brother Imran said he received information about the attack from the hospital in the morning. The reason for the dispute is unknown.
