According to a TOI report, Verma, a resident of Mannapurwa, had prepared the potatoes for cooking and left them for a while. When he returned, he discovered they were missing, prompting him to call the emergency hotline and request a full investigation. The police arrived at Verma’s home and discovered that the “theft” involved only 250 grams of potatoes.

The responding officers recorded a five-second video of their interaction with the man, who insisted: “This is what needs to be investigated.” When asked if he had been drinking, the Hardoi man admitted that he had, explaining: ‘Yes, I work hard all day and have a small drink in the evening. But this isn’t about alcohol; it’s about the missing potatoes.”

In another unusual case involving alcohol, a video surfaced from Singanapalle village in Andhra Pradesh showing a truck driver in an inebriated state narrowly escaping an encounter with a python. According to reports, the driver had been drinking heavily after a long day of work. Too drunk to walk home, he collapsed on a nearby platform and fell asleep.

Unbeknownst to him, a large python emerged from the surrounding forest and wrapped itself around him. The undated video shows the python draped around the driver’s neck as he lay unconscious in his drunken state. The locals, alarmed by the sight, rushed to his rescue and successfully freed him from the snake’s clutches.
