WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – Saturday is the last day of daylight saving time for 2024 and sunset will be after 5 p.m. Take advantage of the dry and pleasant conditions in early November. The next rain producer is on the way starting Sunday, and humid conditions are likely to persist through Election Day on Tuesday. Much needed rain as the entire state is in drought. In the wake of this wet weather, sunshine returns mid-week. Temperatures will be seasonal.

The first weekend of November can bring all kinds of weather to North Central Wisconsin. If this rolls around there will be some variety, but thankfully not that of winter. Saturday will see sunshine mixed with some clouds, while the afternoon will be milder. Highs in the low to mid 50s.

A First Alert reminder to turn your clock back an hour before going to bed Saturday evening as we return to standard time, and it is also a good idea to change the batteries in the smoke/CO detector. Sunday will be a wet day across much of the region as a warm front slowly moves north through the state. Showers are expected to move into Central Wisconsin before daybreak, with periods of light to moderate rain on Sunday. The highest rainfall totals through Sunday evening could come from southern and eastern Wausau. A bit cooler, with highs on Sunday in the low 50s. If you’re going to the Packers game at Lambeau Field on Sunday, be sure to pack rain gear and a few layers to stay warm under that outer layer. The temperature will be around 50 degrees and in addition to the rain there will also be a strong easterly wind.

Rain showers will continue on Sunday night and Monday. With the warm front moving north on Monday, it will be a milder day as highs reach the upper 50s to 60s. On Election Day Tuesday, a wave of low pressure will move northeast along the cold front, with rain expected for the morning and tapering off to showers later in the afternoon. Morning highs on Tuesday will be in the low to mid 50s, dropping back into the 40s in the afternoon. Rainfall totals Sunday through Tuesday evening could range from half an inch in the far north to about two inches in the southern and eastern locations in Central Wisconsin.

A fair amount of sunshine for the second half of the work/school week, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s. There is a chance of showers next Saturday, with highs in the low 40s.
