Fatal overnight shooting under investigation

HILLSBOROUGH, Fla. (WWSB) -The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting at a Waffle House in Riverview.

On November 2, 2024, just after 3 a.m., the HCSO Communications Center received a call reporting a shooting at a Waffle House located at 10041 US Highway 301 South.

When officers arrived, they found an unconscious adult male with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Through investigation, detectives learned that a suspect and the victim got into an argument, during which the victim was shot.

This is an active investigation.
