FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers Opened

BAMBERG – While many Bamberg County residents are still reeling from this year’s tumultuous storm activities, the Bamberg County Emergency Management Division has partnered with FEMA to open a Disaster Recovery Center at the Bamberg County Library. The DRC is open from 8 a.m. on Tuesday, November 5 until closing on Monday, November 11.

FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers are temporary offices that provide support to affected areas and communities after natural disasters. FEMA representatives will be on site to answer questions and assist citizens with the application and filing process. Other disaster assistance partners, such as the Small Business Administration and the Red Cross, may also be on hand to provide helpful information.

Disaster recovery centers will also open in Kershaw and Laurens counties to provide personalized assistance to South Carolina residents affected by Hurricane Helene.
