Andhra Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan announces new Janasena Party wing to fight disrespect for Sanatana Dharma

Pawan Kalyan, Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Janasena Party chief, has announced the formation of a new party wing, the Narasimha Varahi Brigade, which is committed to safeguarding Sanatana Dharma.

“I respect all religions, but I remain true to my faith. Those who criticize Sanatana Dharma on social media or speak disrespectfully about it will have to face the consequences. Therefore, I am creating a dedicated wing within our party called the ‘Narasimha Varahi’. Brigade’ for the protection of Sanatana Dharma’, Kalyan said, Hindustani times reported.

Kalyan’s announcement comes after recent allegations over the use of adulterated ghee in the prasadam at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala.

Kalyan had last month called for strict national legislation to protect Sanatana Dharma and prevent actions that disrespect religious beliefs.

Speaking at the Varahi statement in Tirupati, he said, “A strong national law is needed to protect Sanatana Dharma and prevent damage to its beliefs. This law should be immediately enacted and enforced uniformly across Bharat.”

Kalyan proposed the creation of a Sanatana Dharma Protection Board at the national and state levels to oversee the enforcement of this law, with specific funding for its activities.

He also emphasized the importance of Sanatana Dharma certification to ensure the purity of materials used for temple offerings and prasadam.
