KUCCPS announces slots for 29 KMTC courses

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced additional admission slots for 29 courses at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

In the announcement on Sunday, November 3, the placement service announced that applications were open until November 10 on their official website.

The slots include nine certificate courses and 21 diploma courses across various campuses nationwide.

Opportunities are available for all students with an average grade of C or C depending on the course they are applying for.

Some of the courses include certificates in Community Health Assistant, Health Records and Information Technology, Medical Emergency Technician, Medical Engineering, Orthopedic Trauma Medicine and Public Health, all of which require an average grade of C-.

A certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics is also available for those with an average grade of D+. For those with an average grade of C-, a diploma for the same course is also available.

All other available diploma courses are for students with an average C level and some are only available on one campus.

They include a diploma in Community Health available only at the Mosoriot Campus, Health Promotion only at the Nyahururu Campus, Kenya Registered Nursing at Mathare, Orthopedic Technology at Port Reitz, and both Mortuary Sciences and Radiography and Imaging only at the Mombasa campus.

15 others are available at fifteen other provincial campuses across the country.

Interested applicants are encouraged to apply through the KUCCPS student portal, according to the announcement.

“Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) invites applications for placement in various programs offered at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC). Interested and eligible persons should log in to the KUCCPS student portal (students.kuccps. net) and apply,” the statement said.

“The application deadline is November 10, 2024.”
