Man from Ghazipur arrested for eight-year rape and blackmail of teenage girl | Varanasi News

Varanasi: The Manduadih Police On Saturday, Sunil arrested Gupta (27) from Ghazipur for blackmail and rape a teenage girl for eight years.
The complainant alleged that Sunil also repeatedly arranged for her pregnancy to be terminated. Inspector Manduadih, Bharat Upadhyaya, said that Sunil was arrested on Saturday evening near the FCI Godown crossing with the mobile phone in which he had stored videos of the complainant that he was using blackmail her.
In her complaint at Manduadih police station on Friday, the complainant stated that Sunil met her on December 31, 2016 and started having physical relations without her consent. He also filmed his act and started blackmailing her rape her often, she alleged, saying that whenever she tried to object, he threatened to show the video to her mother and others.
Due to sexual exploitation, she claimed that she became pregnant four times and Sunil arranged the termination by taking her to quacks in rural areas. Sunil always assured her that he would marry her as soon as she came of age.
Senior officials took note of her complaint and asked Manduadih police to file an FIR. After filing an FIR under relevant sections and also under the Pocso Act, the police formulated a plan. As per plan, the girl contacted Sunil on phone and asked him to meet her on Saturday afternoon. When Sunil reached FCI Godown intersection to meet her, police arrested him.
