17-year-old dead after shooting in Sarasota Park, officers investigate

SARASOTA, Fla. – A 17-year-old boy was killed early Sunday morning after a shooting in Twin Lakes Park Sarasota The county sheriff’s office.

Officials say the shooting happened around 1:12 a.m. in the park at 6700 Clark Road. Two victims were taken to the hospital and authorities say the 17-year-old died there.

The other victim is still being treated for his injuries, according to the sheriff.
