Seek God’s guidance for national unity and economic stability – Abiodun administration urges church leaders

The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has charged religious leaders to continue to seek God’s guidance for national unity and economic stability, and to pray for all political leaders for the betterment, growth and development of the country.

The governor gave the order on Sunday while addressing the 75th Diamond Adoption Thanksgiving Service of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim, at the Yewa Provincial Headquarters, held at the Church Hall in Ilaro.

He noted that through the continued prayers of spiritual leaders, Nigeria will become strong again in all aspects.

Abiodun also pledged to remain impartial in religious matters and to continue supporting programs and projects that promote mutual respect and freedom of worship for all.

The governor, represented by the Ogun State Head, Kehinde Onasanya, stressed that religious harmony is crucial for peaceful coexistence and security of lives and properties within the state, pointing out that it is the duty of both the Church and the government to continuously work and pray for the common good of all.

He urged the church to continue to strive for greater understanding among its members and align with his government’s development goals by embracing positive values ​​and virtues in tandem with the government’s “Building Our Future Together” agenda.

The governor appreciated the church not only for promoting spiritual growth but also serving as a beacon of hope and support, especially during these difficult times.

Also speaking at the event was the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, represented by his immediate elder sister, Snr. Mother in Israel, Dupe Adeleke-Sanni, charged the congregation to remain steadfast in promoting the values ​​and ethics of the church.

The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Oludaisi Elemide, while appreciating the clergy and laity for the anniversary, pointed out that prayers have been the sustaining factor for the progress of the country.
