GTA 6 will “blow people away”, says game designer

A designer who kept working Grand Theft Auto 6 has said the highly anticipated game will “blow people away”.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is the sequel to that of 2013 Grand Theft Auto 5 and was finally confirmed last year with a record-breaking trailer soundtracked by Tom Petty‘Love is a long road’.

However, developers have not released any information about the game yet. In a new interview, a former Rockstar game designer opens up about who he worked on GTA6 before leaving the studio in 2022, has said it will be worth the wait.

“Obviously I was aware of a lot of new things (like) content, story and stuff, so I’d like to know how that evolved and how it came out the other side,” Ben Hinchliffe told the GTAVioclock podcast (via Dexerto).

“You just have to look at how every game Rockstar has made has evolved in some way. You could say that every element of the game is improving in the sense that it feels more realistic and people act and behave more realistically,” he continued, as Rockstar came out. Red Dead Redemption 2 after GTA5.

“So I just think it’s going to blow people away. As always there will be an absolute ton of sales. People will talk about it for a long time afterwards, just like they did GTA5 and I’m really, really excited for people to get their hands on it and play it, just because I think (Rockstar) has raised the bar again. They always do that, and they did it again GTA6.”

But earlier this year, another former Rockstar developer said fans might “disappointed” of GTA6 after 11 years of waiting. “I don’t think it will be very different then GTA5.”

GTA6 will be released sometime in 2025, but if it is delayed, apparently fans won’t find out until next year. Rockstar confirmed this in August however, the game would still release on time.
