The worst thing about Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is that they built an outright cheat into the game

Nobody likes hackers in competitive multiplayer games, but Treyarch has built a perk into Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 that’s essentially a legal cheat.
The Recon specialization allows a player to see the location of every single opponent on the map for a few seconds after they respawn, even through walls.
It is extremely overwhelming, and while some use it, many in the community agree that something needs to be done about it.

I’m having a good time Call of Duty: Black Ops6. So much so that I’d put it up there with Black Ops 3 as one of my favorites in the entire franchise. While Treyarch has largely knocked it out of the park, it’s not perfect.

One feature where the game is hugely lacking (as agreed by our friends at PC gamer) is with the Recon specialization. It automatically applies if you use three blue perks on your gear, and it is, to put it bluntly, legalized cheating.

If you haven’t come across it yet, read the description:

“Enemies can be seen through walls for a short time after respawning; a HUD edge indicator flashes when an enemy is out of your view; do not leave death skulls behind when you kill enemies.”

No, you didn’t read it wrong. Treyarch has included wall hacks as a real feature in Black Ops 6. It’s horrible, and anyone who uses it should be ashamed of themselves.

#Unlike an illegal wall hack, the effects only last for a short time. And since it only applies to respawn, it certainly doesn’t give you an unfair advantage in Search and Destroy, since you don’t respawn in that mode. But still, it’s pretty bad and extremely overwhelming.

Not only that, but the HUD lights up like a Christmas tree when an enemy is nearby but you can’t see him. After seeing a few killcams where a player was running Recon, this is definitely an unfair advantage. In one, I came up behind a player, and they literally snapped at my location as the HUD flashed and struck with their godforsaken sniper rifle.

As you can see in the clip, a player respawned, saw where all the players were and then fired off a headshot kill through a wall which simply wouldn’t have happened without running Recon.

I would like to know who signed this in its current form. Obviously there are people who love it (even if they are the worst), but large parts of the community also hate it. So hopefully Treyarch will do something about it.
