A three-car crash with injuries sent three patients to Abington Memorial Hospital on Sunday afternoon

The accident happened shortly before 2:45 p.m

A three-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon at Route 309 and Dekalb Pike in Montgomery Township sent three people to Abington Memorial Hospital via VMSC EMS, police said.

A gray 2005 Chrysler G/T, a black 2023 Mazda CX5 and a third vehicle collided at the intersection at 2:42 p.m., police said, blocking the roadway at Upper State Road in front of the Lukoil.

The crash remains under investigation, police said, and details of how the accident happened will be available at a later date.

Three VMSC EMS ambulances responded and transported all patients, police said.

The roadway was closed for about an hour and reopened at 3:39 p.m
