The driver has turned himself in and will be arraigned on Monday.

A driver allegedly involved in a fatal crash in Methuen on Saturday has been charged with leaving the scene, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

The office said Katrina Nguyen, 26, left the scene of the accident and later turned herself in to Lawrence police.

Nguyen is charged with two counts of motor vehicle homicide by reckless operation, leaving the scene causing death, leaving the scene causing bodily harm, leaving the scene causing property damage and operating a motor vehicle after suspension.

Nguyen was scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Lawrence Superior Court.

According to the district attorney’s office, the crash happened shortly after 6 a.m. on I-495 north.

Massachusetts State Police troopers and Methuen fire personnel responded to the call and found several people trapped in a heavily damaged pickup truck.

A 37-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 41-year-old man who was taken by ambulance to Lawrence General Hospital was later pronounced dead.

Two other occupants of the truck were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The names of the deceased are not being released at this time, pending family notification.
