Youth critical in attack by miscreants on motorcycles in Pallaspalli

Bhubaneswar: A young man was seriously injured after he was attacked by three motorcycle-borne miscreants in Pallaspalli area of ​​Bhubaneswar late last night.

The victim, identified as Shibaprasad Srichandan, was returning from work on a scooter when he was attacked.

According to reports, the attackers chased Shibaprasad around 10pm before launching a brutal sword attack. After carrying out the attack, the attackers fled the scene, leaving Shibaprasad seriously injured.

Shibaprasad was initially rushed to Capital Hospital for treatment and later shifted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar when his condition worsened.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident as police worked to track down and arrest the attackers.

The motive behind the attack was yet to be determined.

The attackers are suspected to have premeditated the attack by gathering information about Shibaprasad and waiting near Pallaspali to intercept him.
