Guruprasad suicide case: Karnataka police seize four mobile phones, two tablets and more from Kannada filmmaker’s apartment

The Madanayakanahalli Police in Bengaluru have started an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the death of Kannada director Guruprasad. According to a News 18 report, authorities searched his apartment for possible clues, including a suicide note, but were unable to find any. However, they recovered a laptop, along with two tablets and four mobile phones, from his home.

The case investigators have sent the evidence to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for further analysis. Officials believe the electronic devices may contain incriminating evidence that could help them with the case.

According to the report, videos recorded on cellphones shortly before his death may provide insight into the circumstances of his death.

The Madanayakanahalli police have made the investigation a priority Guruprasads mobile phones. They are currently focusing on analyzing call logs from the past month. According to the report, their goal is to review his call history, message threads and WhatsApp conversations to identify patterns that may indicate external pressures or concerns that led to his death. Researchers are particularly interested in identifying recurring contacts that may indicate undue influence.

Moreover, the police officials are also planning to use Guruprasad’s bank account to establish his financial situation. This is because of his wife Sumithrahad told investigators that the filmmaker had a lot of debt due to his film venture.

“There was no sign of an intruder and the door was locked from the inside. His wife said he was in financial difficulties as he had accumulated significant debt from his film projects, which may have been a contributing factor,” a senior police commissioner said . the officer said, as quoted by The Indian Express.

Meanwhile, Guruprasad was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his home in Karnataka on November 3.
