Pedestrian killed in motorcycle accident in Reno

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a motorcycle in Reno on Monday evening.

Crews responded to reports of a motorcycle crash on W. 4th Street near Summit Ridge Drive around 5:45 p.m. on Nov. 4. They discovered that a motorcycle had struck a pedestrian crossing W. 4th Street, a short distance east of Summit Ridge. Driving force.

Medical personnel pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

The Reno Police Department MAIT (Major Accident Investigation Team) is conducting the investigation. The rider of the motorcycle was also transported with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say it does not appear that speed or impairment played a role in this crash.

The identity of the deceased has not been released.
