Navy Pier shooting: gunman on the run, 2 seriously injured

Two people were shot at Navy Pier Tuesday afternoon and are in critical condition. Chicago police are still looking for the shooter.

CHICAGO – Two men are hospitalized in critical condition after being shot Marine Pier Tuesday afternoon, according to officials.

The incident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. and the victims were transported to Northwestern Hospital in serious to critical condition.

CFD said the victims were between 40 and 50 years old.

2 Shot at Navy Pier: Reports

According to multiple reports, two people were shot at Navy Pier.

Chicago Police confirmed officers responded to the scene and are actively searching for the suspect.

Unconfirmed reports from police scanner traffic described the possible suspect as wearing a white mask and white chef’s uniform.

Navy Pier was closed after the incident and visitors were asked to evacuate. A visitor told FOX 32 that workers on the pier had been ordered to shelter in place.
