Teen seriously injured after collision in Tempe

TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Tempe Tuesday morning.

Tempe police responded to the crash around 8 a.m near Kyrene and Baseline roads.

The teen was found seriously injured and taken to the hospital, police said.

Tempe police said the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Traffic will be restricted for an extended period due to road closures and there is no estimated time yet for reopening.
