On November 3 at approximately 7:30 PM, sheriff’s deputies responded to 221st Street for a domestic assault in progress.

A caller said a woman texted her that Norcross had threatened the woman and a child in the home that if police arrived at the home, “they would need a doctor.”

According to court documents, Norcross allegedly told officers he asked the woman to buy marijuana for him, but she refused.

He added that the woman threatened to take away his internet access, “and that’s what made him snap.”

According to court records, Norcross was released after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography under the following conditions: remain law abiding, not access the internet without permission, avoid alcohol and other intoxicants and not assault or threaten anyone.

Norcross allegedly added that he yells and “gets up in people’s faces” when he is angry, according to court documents.

He told law enforcement that he did not say that if he saw law enforcement they would need a doctor – instead he claimed he said, “’Law enforcement is being called, they’re going to have to bring a hearse.’”

“The defendant stated that the hearse would be for him because he was going to commit suicide,” according to court documents.

The woman allegedly told police that Norcross had hit her during previous arguments, and on Nov. 3, he knocked her phone out of her hand to prevent her from calling 9-1-1.

Norcross also allegedly disconnected a smart speaker that told her to call the police.

Despite the alleged conduct violating probation, Mower County Judge Natalie Martinez granted Norcross $0 bail with conditions including the same restrictions and an agreement that he would have no contact with the woman or child.

His next hearing is scheduled for November 18.
Norcross will also be sentenced on January 9, 2025 for possession of child pornography.
