Simone Biles sends a message to Joe Biden after Kamala Harris’ loss

Legendary Olympic gymnast Simone Biles had a message for President Joe Biden less than 24 hours later Donald Trump was elected 47th president of the United States.

Biles had revealed in a post on Threads on Election Day that she was supporting Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee, and after her defeat, the gymnast appeared to call on Biden to take some kind of action in his final months as president.

“Mr. Biden, I want you to stand up, straighten your back, and shake some things before you leave. xoxo the women of America,” Biles wrote on X.

In one series of posts on ThreadsBiles had written earlier in the day that “we deserve better” with a broken heart emoji and a comment that read, “I’m so sorry, America.”

Wednesday was not the first time the seven-time Olympic gold medalist has ventured into presidential politics this year.

In August, Biles appeared to clap back at Trump comments from a June debate after the current president-elect said migrants had taken “black jobs” and “Hispanic jobs” from Americans.

Biles wrote, “I love my black job,” in response to a post on X from singer Ricky Davila.

Biles had completed the final show of the 2024 Gold Over America Tour, which helped her and several other American gymnasts celebrate.

The American gymnast cemented her status as the sport’s GOAT at the summer Olympics when she captured three gold medals and a silver medal at the Paris Games.

She has won eleven Olympic medals over the course of her career.
