Man arrested for alleged sexual assault and rape of minor

ASCENSION, La. (WAFB) – The Ascension Parish Sherriff’s Office has arrested a man accused of molesting and raping a juvenile.

Byron Crowfoot, 43, was arrested by officers on charges of molestation of a minor and four counts of first-degree rape of a victim under 13 years old.

According to officials, detectives began their investigation into Crowfoot after a teenage girl told detectives that Crowfoot had sexually abused her for several years.

Detectives executed an arrest warrant for Crowfoot, who was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
