Crash recovery is still underway in Elands Valley

The N4 between Elandshoek and the Kaapsehoop junction is still partially closed.

This follows an accident involving two articulated trucks at approximately 9.30pm last night, November 6.

The recovery is still in full swing. Monica Fourie of Van Wettens Breakdown Services confirmed that their team has been working on it since then.

One of the trucks was transporting a load of planks that had to be unloaded onto another truck as part of the salvage operation.

The westbound lanes are closed. The countercurrent of TRCN4 is present.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution or use the Schoemanskloof to avoid delays.

Lowvelder has not received confirmation of reported injuries.
