Lawrence Jones defends Biden against Democrat blame

Fox & Friends host Laurens Jones went to work for the presidency Joe Biden Thursday amid reports that Some Democrats blame him for vice president Kamala Harris election loss.

Harris’ campaign ran a 100-day sprint after Biden ended his bid in July following pressure from senior Democrats and donors over his disastrous CNN debate performance against Trump. Some are now pointing to Biden’s initial decision to run for office Trump’s election victory. Biden initially made a one-term pledge in 2019 before choosing to run again — ultimately withdrawing in July after his widely publicized debate performance in June.

CNN reported Wednesday that some senior campaign officials began pointing fingers at the president.

To Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy reported on the blame game to the hosts, Jones launched into Biden’s defense while attacking Harris as simply a “bad” candidate. He said:

I think it’s completely unfair for Democrats to blame Joe Biden for this. First of all, you all used it and then when you all didn’t need it anymore, you all got rid of it. Also, Joe Biden’s entire plan was that he would only serve one term. That’s what he said, but Kamala was so bad. She was so bad. So he couldn’t pass the torch. And as we have seen since this election why she was so bad.

Co-host Brian Kilmeade suggested that the 2022 midterm elections had given Biden a false confidence that enticed him to run for 2024.

Jones again added in Biden’s defense: “And the Democrats supported him too, until the debate.”
