Joe Scarborough visibly shocked after finding out the price of butter

“Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough was visibly shocked when his wife and co-host Mika Brzezinski revealed how high the cost of butter has become over the past four years.

“A few weeks ago…someone who was going to vote for Kamala Harris came up to me and said, ‘Oh my God, Trump is going to win…I’m going to the grocery store, butter is over $3,’” the former said congressman from Florida.

“I laughed a little and said, well, that’s quite reductive isn’t it, I said it to myself,” Scarborough continued.

“It’s seven dollars… I’m just saying it’s seven,” Brzezinski interrupted.

“Butter costs $7… What, is it framed in gold?” Scarborough replied incredulously, with a shocked look on his face.

“It’s seven dollars…. it depends where you’re going,” Brzezinski said somberly.

A graph of NBC exit poll data showing that 46% of Americans feel their economic situation is worse than it was four years ago appeared on the screen as Scarborough continued to lament the nation’s struggle with inflation.

“If you look at the cost of groceries, if you look at the cost of gasoline, if you look at the cost of things compared to four years ago, it was a very simple answer for the American working class,” Scarborough said.

“Yes!” Brzezinski fired back.
