One injured in shooting Wednesday night at Sterling Pizza Ranch

STERLING, Ill. (KWQC) – Police say a 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with a shooting at a Rock Falls Pizza Ranch.

According to Sterling police, Sterling police were notified of a shooting in the 3900 block of East Lincolnway on Wednesday at 7:49 p.m.

Police said callers reported that one person had been shot and that the gunman had fled the Pizza Ranch on foot. Other customers and employees fled or were barricaded inside.

Sterling police said when officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old employee with a gunshot wound to the neck. He was taken to an area hospital and later released.

Officials said a search for the shooter began and a 17-year-old was found at a home in Rock Falls and arrested.

Sterling police say an investigation is underway.
