Two children are slightly injured in a collision with Crowchild

A school bus with 40 children on board collided with a car at the intersection of Crowchild Trail and Glenmore Trail on Thursday.

The incident took place around 12.35 pm. A car was turned on its side and the driver was trapped and had to be freed.

A Calgary police spokesperson confirmed there were 40 children on the bus, two of whom suffered minor injuries that were assessed at the scene. No one was taken to hospital.

The city’s social media feed reports that multiple lanes on the southbound Crowchild Trail at Glenmore Trail SW are blocked.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully.
