Orangeburg County schools are closed Friday due to road closures

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WOLO) – Orangeburg County School District has announced that schools will be closed on Friday due to conditions in the county.

The county currently has more than 130 road closures after flooding hit the area on Thursday, November 7.

District officials say schools will remain closed on Friday, November 8.

The district also says after careful consideration, they do not believe it is necessary to go to school on Friday because many roads have not yet been rated for safe travel.

The district will continue to provide updates as they become available.
