Man gets ten years in prison for raping daughter in Faridabad

Faridabad Additional Sessions Court Judge Hemraj Mittal has sentenced a man to 10 years in jail for raping his daughter. The court also imposed a fine of 60,000 euros on him.

The convict continued to have physical relations with his daughter for about four years after the death of his wife, after which the girl filed a complaint with the police through an NGO in 2021.

According to police, the 50-year-old man, a resident of Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh, lived in Ballabhgarh. The 14-year-old girl had stated that his father always threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about it.

When the convict’s daughter came of age, she had a love marriage on December 21, 2017. After going to her in-laws’ house, the girl returned to her father with her husband after a dispute with her mother-in-law. and went to live with her father.

Whenever her husband went to work, the convict raped her. On June 12, 2021, she filed a complaint with the police. Lawyer Ravindra Gupta of Legal Cell said while hearing the case on Wednesday that the court sentenced the father to 10 years in prison and fined him.
