Michigan Man gets 30 years in prison for child sexual exploitation

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) -A man accused of participating in a large online sextortion network that targeted children received his sentencing hearing Thursday.

Richard Densmore, of West Michigan, pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of a child.

A judge ruled that he will spend 30 years behind bars in federal prison.

The U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan and the FBI worked together to solve this case. Officials say the online crime ring targets minors by extorting them into violent acts, self-harm and sexually explicit activities.
